Who We Are
Dickey County Public Transportation is part of Dickey County Senior Citizens, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was designed to instigate community awareness of our older adult population to promote meaningful services and activities for those over 60. Part of those services include Dickey County Public Transportation which now includes not just the older population, but the entire public, from young to old alike.
Our Mission
The Mission of Dickey County Public Transportation is to provide safe, reliable and cost-effective public transportation to the citizens of the communities we serve.
Dickey County Senior Citizens, dba as Dickey County Public Transportation, is governed by a nine-member board. The board members each serve a three-year term with 1/3 of the board being appointed each year. The nine members currently are made up of representatives from these areas: 3 board members represent Ellendale, 3 board members represent Oakes, 1 board member represents Fullerton, and 2 board members represent the county at large. Dickey County Senior Citizens hold board meetings 3-4 times per year. Meeting times, dates, and locations are posted at the respective centers once scheduled and are open to the public.
